Who We Are

Lost Bearings Overland is a family oriented group that has recently rediscovered the joy of off-road trips and camping/overland adventures together. Our blog is going to follow our adventures together as well as our vehicle builds. We came up with the name because we felt like there isn’t always just one way to get to our destination, and sometimes even the destination changes. It’s also a play on words although we would really hate to lose any mechanical bearings on our trips! In the end, it’s the journey together that makes each trip special.

Lost Bearings Overland consists of Vichus and Bean, McKay and family, Quinn and family, and the elder statesman, Wes and Ellie. Over time we know we are going to add members to our group because this sort of adventure, camaraderie and connecting with the outdoors is contagious.

As stated earlier, our vehicles will also be making a journey. All of them were purchased in stock form and will also take on various forms as we get them ready to serve our purpose. Vichus and Bean own a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon, McKay owns a 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD, and Quinn owns a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU Sport and Wes and Ellie own a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU Sport. Yeah, we know, McKay is the outcast, but probably has the coolest vehicle in the bunch. These vehicles will undertake various modifications that will allow them to serve a multitude of purposes. From daily driver to off-road fun, to overland adventures.

Thank you for visiting and joining us on our journey.
